I pledge to be a keeper of the Sword of Hope for all who served the United States of America, and did so honorably.  I further understand that I, as a Veteran or Active Duty Member of the United States Military, have a sworn or affirmed obligation to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and to bear true Faith and Allegiance to the same.  Therefore, it is my obligation to encourage my fellow Veterans and Active Duty Sisters and Brothers to achieve that which is of their highest potential, and to do so with Honor.  I pledge to utilize my talents, trained skills and resources whether meager or large, to do all that I can to assist my fellow Veterans and Active Duty Members in times of legitimate need.  I understand that it is my responsibility to instill hope and encouragement to all who have served or are currently serving in the United States Military, and by my example, to carry on the two core values of: “Don’t tell me what I cannot do…but rather how to do that which I can.”, and “Failure is not an option!”  As a LANCER, I understand the only way to fail is to not try at all.  I, in the presence of Almighty God and my fellow man, do hereby agree to live honorably and to do that which encourages the building of a better community, and brings credibility and respect towards those who are serving, have served or shall serve in the Armed Forces of the United States of America, including Family and Loved Ones.
Over 15,000 Military Members, Veterans, Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Personnel have taken the Oath of the Lancers.
